Man Who Lives Near Airport Painted "Welcome to Cleveland" on His Roof, Lives in Milwaukee
Epic prankster Mark Gubin has been confusing airline passengers for nearly four decades now. He first got the idea when having lunch with his assistant on the roof of his apartment. She noticed a lot of low flying planes getting to land at the airport and mentioned it would be nice to make a sign that welcomed them to Milwaukee. Guban ran with the idea giving it the major twist of welcoming passengers to Cleveland instead.
The sign became famous after it was first painted back in 1978 but for whatever reason it has recently been rediscovered and spread throughout the internet.
